Job Title: Staff Nurse – Operation Theatre (OT)
Job Description:
KJK Hospital is inviting applications from experienced Staff Nurses to join our Operation Theatre team. The role involves providing safe, high‑quality nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgery, while working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and fellow OT staff to ensure smooth procedures and excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare patients for surgery and provide perioperative nursing care in the OT.
• Set up and maintain a sterile OT environment, including instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assist surgeons and anaesthetists as scrub and circulating nurse during minor and major surgeries.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and document nursing care accurately throughout the surgical process.
• Follow hospital protocols for infection control, patient safety, and OT documentation.
Qualifications:
• GNM / BSc Nursing with valid registration (mandatory).
• Minimum 3 years of dedicated OT experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, OT equipment, and perioperative nursing practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

The role involves providing safe, high-quality nursing care to mothers during labour, delivery, and the postpartum period while working closely with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the safety and well-being of both mother and baby.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to expectant mothers during labour, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
- Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rate, and labour progress.
- Assist obstetricians during normal deliveries and emergency obstetric procedures.
- Prepare the labour room, instruments, equipment, and supplies for deliveries.
- Provide immediate newborn care and assist with neonatal resuscitation when required.
- Identify and promptly report maternal or fetal complications to the medical team.
- Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate nursing documentation.
Support mothers with postnatal care, breastfeeding guidance, and patient education.
Follow hospital protocols for infection control, patient safety, and emergency obstetric care.
Qualifications & Experience
- GNM / BSc Nursing with valid nursing registration (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years of dedicated Labour Room nursing experience.
- Experience assisting with normal deliveries and managing high-risk pregnancies under medical supervision.
- Strong knowledge of labour monitoring, maternal care, and immediate newborn care.
- Familiarity with obstetric emergencies and neonatal resuscitation procedures.
- Ability to work efficiently in emergency and high-pressure situations.
- Good communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
